Launch of the 2026 external researcher competition campaign
The registration phase is now open. This year, many positions are open. You have until 12 January 2026 to apply for the researcher competitions, #JoinCNRS!
As a major player in fundamental research on a global scale, every year the CNRS recruits a large number of permanent researchers through competitive examinations, based on criteria of excellence. Many open positions cover a wide range of scientific fields: the humanities and social sciences, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, nuclear and high-energy physics, engineering and systems sciences, information sciences, the sciences of the universe, ecology and environmental sciences.
